Hockey Field Change
The hockey field at the Hornby recreation ground would eventually have to be replaced by one at the new Branston park, the reserves committee reported to the Paparua County Council. The council decided to accept land from a new subdivision at the rear of the recreation ground, and to ask the National Roads Board if it would compensate the coun cil for land taken off the ground for road widening. On the committee’s recommendation, the council agreed to instal playground equipment at the Templeton recreation ground
