INCENTIVES FOR EXPORT

Modifications Predicted

The export liaison officer for Canterbury and Marlborough (Mr D. N. Hull) yesterday predicted that there would be some modifications to the structure of export incentives in next Thursday's budget. He told members of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association’s export action group that he would be very surprised if some of the added incentives for which manufacturers were looking were not announced in the budget. Mr Hull said that although he could not speak for the Government he assured Canterbury manufacturers that their representations for bigger incentives were being seriously examined at Governmen tai level.
