12 p.c. Lift In Profit (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, June 10. A net tax-paid profit of £10,143, compared with £9030 last year, is recorded in the annual report of the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New Zealand for the year to March 31. The result is more than 12 per cent better than last year’s and shows a return of 13 per cent on shareholders’ funds. It is after £6OO more for depreciation at £3998 and £1350 more for tax at £9700. Recommended final dividend of 2s a share (3d up on last year) will take £2500. An interim dividend of Is a share was declared earlier. Directors propose to transfer £6OOO to the general reserve, £5OOO last year, leaving a balance of £5859. Total revenue for the year is up from £143,066 to £154,313.
Heards Result Satisfactory
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 10. The accounts of Heards, Ltd., Auckland chocolate and confectionery maker, were now being completed and would show a satisfactory result, the chairman, Mr L: Heard, says in a circular to shareholders. After the death of the secretary, Mr H. King, there had been a delay and the annual meeting, usually held in June, would now be on July 27.
