Fire Safety Award
The North Canterbury Hospital Board's fire prevention award for 1965-66 has been awarded to Sister P. H. Ryan of St. Helens Hospital. Sister Ryan co.apiled a list of instructions for mothers in maternity hospitals to follow in the event of fire. Her instructions are now standard procedure for the board’s maternity hospitals. The cheque for the award was presented to Sister Ryan) by Dr. L. A. Bennett, chair-! man of the Works Committee.)
