MORNING LECTURES

W.E.A. Series Is Test

A series of lectures, organised by the Canterbury Workers’ Educational Association, entitled “Monday Morning Miscellany,” wi*l begin at 10 a.m. on June 13.

The secretary of the tutorial classes committee (Mr N. A. Parsloe) said yesterday that the timing of this day course was experimental. A similar day course, held in 1964, had a good enrolment. Mr Parsloe said it was thought that the morning time would be more convenient than afternoon lectures for mothers with school-age families.

Lectures will be given on seven subjects and two films, “Alcoholism” and “The Age of Dissent” will be discussed. Mrs M. Troup will address the first meeting on "A New Zealand Family’s Experience of French Education.”
