The Luckiest Mother

(N.Z. Frets Association) DUNEDIN, June 10. The luckiest mum in Dunedin today is Mrs N. Oliver, wife of the groundsman at Carisbrook. Mrs Oliver held the winning ticket in the £60,000 Mammoth Golden Kiwi lottery drawn yesterday. No photograph was available of the winning ticket. “It’s already in the bank.” said Mrs Oliver. The good news for Mrs Oliver was bad news for Mrs C. E. M. Cousins, of Victoria road, Musselburgh. Mrs Cousins had thought that she might have been the winner of £60,000. Her son had given her several mammoth lottery tickets with the nom de plume “Mum, Dunedin;” two weie missing and she thought one of them might have been the lucky one.
