NOTICE OF INTENTION TO LEVY RATES PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 54 of the Rating Act, 1925, that it is the intention of the Walpara County Council at its next meeting to be held at Walkari on the 11th day of July, 1966, to make and levy a General Rate of One Decimal Five of a penny (1.5 d in the pound on the Capital Value of all the rateable property appearing upon the Valuation Rolls of the Walpara County: a Special Rate of decimal nought seven two five of a Penny (.0725d) in the Pound on the Capital Value of all the rateable property in the Scar-gili-Motunau Recreation Reserve Special Rating Area: pursuant to Section 115 of the Counties Act, 1956, a uniform annual fee for refuse collection of Ten shillings on such properties in the township of Walkari as have a building thereon and in respect of which the Council is prepared to provide such a service: pursuant to Section 118 of the Counties Act, 1956, in respect of the ordinary supply of water as defined by Part 22 of the Waipara County General Bylaw, 1958, the following uniform annual charges:—Each dwelling house or residential unit, £lO or, if with business premises attached, £l5: detached business premises, £10; halls, club rooms, play centres and the like, £3; and, on all lands and dwelling houses to which water can be but is not supplied, situate within one hundred yards from any part of the waterworks, half the charge payable in respect of lands and dwelling houses to which water is supplied: pursuant to Section 119 of the Counties Act, 1956, In respect of the extraordinary supply of water within the meaning of Part 22 of the Waipara County General By-Law, 1958, the following charges:— On all farm lands to which a supply of water is given, at the rate of Two shillings per acre of the holding or Three shillings and fourpence per One Thousand gallons of water consumed each years measured by meter, whichever shall be the greater sum: on small grazing sections of under twenty acres having one trough supplied with water, £3 per annum: other types of extraordinary supp.y, charges by arrangement or as may be fixed bv Resolution of the' Council from time to time: nursuant to Section 125 of the Counties Act, 1956, Iff respect of all property In the Hawarden and Walkari Urban Drainage Areas a uniform annual fee of Sixteen pounds for each water closet or, urinal served either directly or though a private drain by a nubile sanitary drain, reducible to Eight pounds In respect of non-rate-able church buildings and each water closet or urinal after the first installed in any single privately occupied residential unit or any building owned by locally organised societies and clubs not operating for nrlvate profit and having one only connexion to a sewer. SUCH RSTES AND CHARGES to fie for the period of twelve months commencing on the Ist day of April, 1966, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1967, and shall be due and payable in one sum at the County Offices at Walkari on the Sth day of August, 1966. PUBLIC NOTICE is also given pursuant to Section 64 of the Rating Act, 1925, the Waipara County Council has by resolution decided to allow to every ratepayer a rebate of Ninepence (9d) to each complete Pound of so much of the amount of general and special rates payable by him as is paid before the expiration of Thirty (30) days after the due date thereof.
