Sugar Slumps In London
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, June 9. The London daily price for sugar has come under its most serious pressure since the last northern autumn—reaching a new low level this week of £l7 10s. Since February the price has fallen £6 15s.
The latest marked setback, after a moderate rise late last week of 10s, rested on the disposal of about 530,000 tons of Brazil sugar for shipment between July this year and June next year to four trade operators.
