May Have Lost Ticket
(N.Z. Press Association) .DUNEDIN, June 9. A Dunedin widow, Mrs C. E. M. Cousins, of Victoria road, Musselburgh, fears she may have lost the winning ticket in the £60,000 Golden Kiwi lottery drawn today. Her son, John, bought tickets in towns throughout New Zealand under the nom-de-plume “Mum,” Dunedin. The Southland agent for the lottery, Mr C. N. McKenzie, said tonight that the ticket had been
sold by an Invercargill tobacconist. Mrs Cousins later said that her son was in Invercargill, but she could not be positive that she had received a ticket from there.
All but two of the large bundle of tickets purchased by her son, who was touring with Mr Joe Brown’s “Miss New Zealand” company have been found by Mrs Cousins. He did not put a name or address on any of the ticket butts.
