Work Stops On River Project

Ghana's military Government announced last night that work had been abandoned on the Soviet-financed 90 million dollar hydro-elec-tric dam project on the Black Volta river because it was “unfeasible.”
The Black Volta project at Buipe was a subsidiary project of the American-backed Volta river project.
