Hulme has now driven the Lola Chevrolet to four wins from four starts, and each time he has set a new outright circuit record. For the French Alpine rally later this year the organising club will select group one cars from a batch of 20 supplied by each manufacturer, the only changes then permitted being the addition of two extra lights and the changing of tyres. The system will ensure that the competing cars are completely standard models. The cars selected will be guarded until the rally, and will be run in and adjusted under supervision. Unfortunately the cars must he selected in France, and foreign teams say the system will not work for any but French teams. * * s!s

The Triumph 2000 has now been launched in the United States, and the American agents have said that a team of three automatic 2000 s will take part in national rallies this year.
