Increases For Local Body Gardeners
fIV.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 8. Increases ranging from 9s 2d to 12s 4d a week are provided in an award released by the Arbitration Court today for gardeners and labourers employed by local bodies. The rate for foremen gardeners is £l7 15s (35.58) a week, for gardeners or plant propagators £l7 (34) and for pump attendants £l5 10s (31).
Labourers and other unspecified workers receive 7s sjd (74.58 cents) an hour, an increase of 3fd.
