Broughton—Ludemann: The engagement is announced between Ann, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs E. A. Ludemann, Papakaio, North Otago, and David, younger son of Mr and Mrs D. S. Broughton Epsom, Auckland. MacKenzie—Leonard: Mr and Mrs T. J. Leonard, Cameron street, Ashburton, have much pleasure in announcing the engagement of their elder daughter, Denise Mary, to Arthur, youngest son of Mrs D. Baxter, and the late Mr J. MacKenzie of Dunedin.
Porter—Grant: Mr and Mrs J. A. Grant, 52 Orwell street, Oamaru, have pleasure in announcing the engagement of their eldest daughter, Eunice, to Bruce, younger son of Mrs Porter, Perth, Australia.
Scott—Smart: The engagement is announced in Washington, D.C., between Gabrielle Justine, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. W. Smart, of Fendalton, Christchurch and Kenneth Scott, British Embassy, Washington, son of the late Adam Scott O B.E, and Mrs Scott, of Edinburgh, Scotland. The marriage will take place in Washington in September.
