Precarious Balance In Share Trading

. Share trading in New Zealand yesterday balanced precariously over a very wide range in better-than-average turnover. Key stocks fared slightly worse than the rest of the market. Times jumped 2s 3d to 19s 6d after firming on quota1 x r>7? u^e^ 1D exc hmige. Most other moves were narrow. Wellingn Gas at 20s 3d and Auckland Gas at 6s 3d each gained 3d. N.Z. Forest Products firmed 2d to 23s lOd. Prestige lost 6d to 10s 3d and Ross and Glendimng 2d to 13s lOd.

Falls were bigger than rises in the overseas list but this section was , ? alanc e over-all. E.Z.I. at 19s 9d and Myer at 26s each rose 3d, while Woolworths gained 2d to 12s and Email Id to 3s sd. Waltons lost od to 8s lOd and in Dunedin, H. C. Sleigh lost 7d to 4s Bd. B.H.P. and C.S.R. each lost 3d of recent gains.
