Egyptian Move (N.Z.P.A. Reuter—Copyright) CAIRO, June 8. The United Arab Republic Premier, Mr Zakaria Mohieddin, last night asked Parliament to introduce the death penalty for Egypt’s drug peddlers.

He also asked approval for another law introducing capital punishment for suspects who resisted arrest The Prime Minister said about 140,0001 b of narcotics was smuggled in and out of the country every year. Less than a quarter of it was seized.

Last month, security forces began rounding up narcotic smugglers and traders in deserts and coastal areas in a bid to stamp out drug trafficking in the Republic.
