Two pair of Englishmen who are rowing across the Atlantic are doing fine, ac cording to latest reports to the United States Coast Guard.

David Johnstone, aged 35. and John Hoare. aged 29, journalists who left Virginia Beach on May 21. were sighted about 400 miles out to sea.

The master of the British freighter Orient City radioed that the pair appeared “well and happy” and were making 100 miles a day in their 15foot rowboat, Puffin. Captain John Ridgway, aged 27, and Sergeant Chay Blyth. aged 26, two paratroopers, who left Massachusetts on Saturday, were reported “all right” in a radio conversation last night.
