PLAYING SQUASH

Businessmen Warned

(N.Z Press Assn.—Copyright) PERTH, June 6.

Businessmen approaching their 50s who decided to play an energetic sport like squash to reduce their waistlines were foolish, Professor J. C. Paterson said in Perth yesterday. The strain of sudden and unaccustomed exercise could be fatal.

Professor Paterson, the head of the medical research department at a research laboratory in Ontario, Canada, is in Australia doing research involving tracing the course of arteriosclerosis.

He said children began showing signs of arteriosclerosis when they were only 12 months old.
