Waiting For Good Weather

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, June 7. The British aviatrix, Sheila Scott, who is making a round the world flight in a light aircraft arrived at Norfolk Island at 11.45 a.m. today. Miss Scott flew from Auckland to Norfolk Island airstrip in her single-engined Piper Commanche aircraft in six hours. She said that her trip from Auckland had been uneventful. Miss Scott is now waiting for favourable weather conditions before setting out on the long ocean flight to Fiji. Cathedral Cleaning. The cleaning of the outside of St Paul’s Cathedral, London, has almost been completed. Spread over eight years and three phases, the cleaning has cost £150,000, part of which was raised by public subscription.—London, June 7.
