Discussion Of Merger (N.Z.P.A.-Reuterl LONDON, June 5. Britain's two big aircraft engine makers—Rolls Royce and the Bristol Aeroplane Company—may merge into a single concern with assets of more than £lO5 million. A brief announcement on Friday said that the merger was being discussed in preliminary talks and no further information would be made available for some time. The merger would also mean a link between Rolls and the other giant in British aviation, the HawkerSiddeley group. They are joint owners with Bristol Aeroplane of Bristol Siddeley engines—whose jet engines will power the AngloFrench Concord airliner. X,
