Retiring Men Honoured
C. S. Donald, who will retire from race driving this season, and Mr H. V. Spicer, who will finish judging at trotting meetings, met officials of the Ashburton Trotting Club after the last race yesterday. The president of the Ashburton .club (Mr J. Cocks), the honorary treasurer (Mr V. W. Russell), and Messrs M. C. McTigue, W. E. Lowe and D. G. Jones, representing owners, breeders, and drivers, were among those to pay tribute to the support given the club by the two men.
