C. PETROUS PROFIT DIP
No Dividend This Year (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 5. Directors of Clarke Petrous, Auckland roofing tile makers, say reduction in turn-over reported to shareholders for the half-year has continued for the balance of the financial year. Although accounts have still to be finalised they will disclose a considerable reduction in net profit for the year to March 31. Also, the liquid position has been adversely affected by the reduction in profit and, to some extent by additional costs incurred in establishing ' the new Monier tile factory. Because of the above factors, the directors say they will be unable to recommend a dividend for the year ended March 31.
