FAILS TO RETURN

Hunter In Bush (N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, June 6. A 20-year-old hunter was reported missing tonight on a deerstalking trip in the Tarawera mountain ranges, 50 miles from Taupo. He is Mr Terence Clarke, married, of 10 Panmure highway, Auckland. With two others, he entered the bush on Sunday morning and was expected out again at 4 p.m. the same day. The party split up, and Mr Clarke did not return with his companions. The Taupo police were not notified until early tonight. The conditions in the area are dry but very cold. Search parties are expected to enter the area at first light tomorrow.

It is believed that Mr Clarke is adequately clothed but has little food with him.
