REFRESHER COURSES

Drivers Of 70 And Over

The first of the Christchurch Crty Council traffic department’s refresher courses for drivers of 70 and over was held yesterday. Thirtyfive enrolled for a course in the morning, and 25 for another in the afternoon. The courses are designed to bring elderly drivers up to date on traffic regulations and the changes that have taken place in driving in the dty. Lectures will last from 90 minutes to two hours, depending on the number of questions asked.

The traffic department will continue the courses as long as there is sufficient demand. Those interested are asked to write to the City Council Traffic Department, P.O. Box 237, or telephone 71-679, and ask for extension 881.
