RACE TO SUVA

Roulette Is Winner ? (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Officials of the Royal Akarana Yacht Club last evening considered that Roulette had won the Auckland-to-Suva race on handicap from Aroutii by about 2hr 17min. Six more yachts finished yesterday: Aronui at 3.41 a.m.: Caprice, 9.5 a.m.: Red Feather, 10.19 a.m.: Taotiui, 11.54 a.m.; Tamure. 12.4 p.m.: Roulette, 1.35 p.m. Fidelis, the first yacht to reach Suva, finished on Tuesday at 12.50 a.m. Other yachts still to finish, with their approximate distance from Suva in parenthesis, were: Southern Star (17 miles), Maraval (22), Falcon (22), Princess Persephone (25), Pono (265). Tanganui (28), Bonda Dea (381), Blue Water (391), Rival (43), Vega (75), Black Rose (180), Clair de Lune (180). and She (214). Although no official placings have yet been announced Roulette is thought to be leading on handicap at present.
