Farmers Elect Officers
Mr W. N. Dunlop, of Greenpark, who has held the office for the last two years, has been re-elected chairman of the meat and wool section of North Canterbury Federated Farmers for another term His was the only nomination when officers were elected at the annual meeting of the section yesterday. Mr A. F. Wright, of Annat, was re-elected vice-chairman, being the only nominee for the office.
Other appointments were made as follows: delegates to Dominion meat and wool conference, the chairman and vice-chairman and Messrs B. H. Palmer (Hawarden-Wai-kart), D. G. McGrath (Oxford) and T. H. Evans (Hororata); delegates to provincial conference, the chairman and vice-chairman and Messrs J. Ingold (Ellesmere) and E. W. Turrell (Motukarara): delegate to Dominion meat and wool council, the chairman; delegates to provincial executive, the chairman and vicechairman; South Island representatives on the Sheep Owners’ Council, the chairman.
