Ship Has New Appearance

The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rangitane which arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington on Thursday morning has a changed appearance.

Her plain buff funnel has disappeared and she now has a red Federal funnel with a black top and on each side a St .George’s cross with a blue square in the middle. She still flies the New Zealand Shipping Company’s house flag. Last year the company decided to adopt the funnel of its associated company, the Federal Steam Navigation Company, for greater uniformity between the two fleets.
