TOUGH GOlNG.—Trudging ankle-deep in mud while carrying a lady in a sedan chair was certainly a day’s “good turn” for these Boy Scouts, though their Girl Guide passenger does appear a little apprehensive. More than 200 Scouts and Guides took part in the race for home-made. Scout-propelled sedan chairs over a four-mile course on Stoke Common in Buckinghamshire, England. Prizes were awarded to the winners for the best-made chair, the most original chair, and for the best-dressed ensemble.
