Winners of the annual awards of the New Zealand Institute of Electricians annual awards are:— The Martin Smith award, for a paper dealing with an aspect of electrical supply or control: Mr G. A. Anderson (Wellington); second, Mr W. L. Vickery (Auckland).

The P.D.L. award for the most balanced results in the electrician’s examination, theory and practical: Mr R. D. McQuoid (Auckland).

The advanced trade certificate gold medallion for the highest aggregate in papers A and B: Mr W. M. Dyas (Wellington). Special award to a serving apprentice gaining the highest marks in paper A of the advanced trade certificate examination: K. G. Bielby (Auckland) and K. F. Bush (Auckland) equal.
