Four Hurt On Roads
Warwick Veitch, of the R.N.Z.A.F. Base, Wigram, whose parents live at Waimate, suffered serious leg injuries and moderately serious head Injuries when the motorcycle he was riding and a car collided outside the Christchurch Hospital about 4.30 p.m. yesterday. He was admitted to the hospital and his leg was operated on last evening. Two men were injured when a car and truck collided at the corner of Peterborough and Manchester streets about 3.15 p.m.
Mr J. Sisterson, of 559 Aberdeen street, Gisborne, suffered head and leg Injuries, and Mr R. A. Bunn, of 20 Pete avenue, Epsom, Auckland, arm injuries and concussion. The injuries were reported to be not serious. Both were admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital. Mrs G. Fry, of 60 Medway street, suffered shock in a collision between a car and cycle on the corner of Chester and Madras streets about 7.45 a.m. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital and discharged.
