Pipe Firm Loses

GV.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, Mar. 10. Judgment for £3215 12s 2d in favour of the Cambridge company, New Zealand Diving Equipment, Ltd., was given by Mr Justice Gresson today in the Supreme Court claim which arose out of diving work done by the firm’s managing-director, Mr Dennis Penn Lascelles Twiss, during the construction of the Gisborne sewer outfall project.

New Zealand Diving Equipment. Ltd., claimed £3461 12s 2d from Canterbury Pipe Lines for diving work The defendants counterclaimed for £8195 for alleged breach of contract by the plaintiff. The counter-claim by Canterbury Pipe Lines, Ltd., was dismissed, and Twiss was allowed £175 costs on the counter claim.
