Lords Condemn Govt. Policies
(N.Z. P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, Mar. 10. The House of Lords last night passed a motion condemning the Government’s decision to quit the British base at Aden and build no more aircraft carriers. The vote—lo 7 to 55 —has no constitutional significance, but political observers said it was likely to increase the Labour Party's hostility to the House of Lords. The Government, stung by previous defeats earlier in the Parliamentary session, has said in its General Election manifesto that it intends to curb the Lards’ powers to delay legislation.
