Man-Handled “This report was obviously written by a man,” said the chairman (Mr C. T. Ford), when the beadmaster (Mr A. B. Ryan) submitted the resignation of a senior biology teacher to a meeting of the Mairehau High School board of governors yesterday. Mr Ryan reported that the teacher was resigning because of her approaching marriage and “removal" to Australia. “I thought of other alternatives,” he said, amid laughter. “ ‘Shift’?
