BIBLE WEEK IN SEPT.

Dr. Knight Coming

Dr. G. A. F. Knight, principal of the Pacific Theological College, Suva, will be the chief speaker during Christchurch Bible Week to be held on September 18 to 25, the Presbytery of Christchurch was told at its monthly meeting yesterday. Two features of the week will be the opening rally at the Civic Theatre on September 18, and lunch-hour Bible expositions held by Dr. Knight. Intensive training of clerical and lay study leaders will precede the week. Organised by a representative committee on behalf of the National Council of Churches, but with a wider representation than council members, including a Roman Catholic representative, the Bible week is expected to cost in the vicinity of £l5OO.
