Conversion Rates
New Zealand’s currency conversion to decimals is planned to take place in July, 1967. The rates at which shillings and pence should be converted to dollars and cents have been recommended by the Decimal Currency Board.

Liquid Gland Seal.—The Lanchow oil refinery in north-west China has evolved a liquid gland for sealing pipe joints, according to the New China News Agency. A mixture of highly polymerised compounds. stuffings and other promoters, the liquid gland resists high or low temperatures as well as high pressure. A thin film of the gland on a pipe joint ensures a tight seal.
