WINGATUI SCHOOLING
'‘The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN. Soutaine (W. C. Gye), owned and trained by H. A. Anderton, gave a splendid display of jumping when schooled over six steeplechase fences at Wingatui yesterday morning. Soutaine is one of the big team of jumpers Anderton will have in work this winter. Other members of his team to school were Windvale Lad (M. S. Parr) and The Slug (G. O. Finn), which jumped four hurdles cleanly at a fast pace. Windvale Lad has made great progress as a jumper since he joined the stable and he will be a welcome addition to hurdle fields this jumping season. Captain Morgan (W. C. Gye) and Big Bluff (G. O. Finn) were together over a round of four steeplechase fences. Apart from Big Bluff getting in a bit close to the last fence it was a good exhibition. Myfilou (W. C. Gye) and Melotone (M. S Parr) did a round of six steeplechase fences at a good pace. Melotone is improving with every school.
