A.S.R.S. Branch Meeting
The executive of the Canterbury branch of the A.S.R.S. would hold a meeting in Christchurch next Tuesday with the national president of the A.S.R.S. (Mr J. Dougherty), said the branch president (Mr T. Sweeney) last evening.
The meeting, he said, would also probably be attended by national councillors, possibly some from Wellington. Tuesday’s meeting, he said, would decide whether to call a special meeting of all Canterbury branch members of the A.S.R.S. on Wednesday, March 16, or Thursday, March 17. Mr Sweeney said that such a meeting, if called, would discuss wages, designations, and line-gang amalgamations. If the special meeting was to be held, said Mr Sweeney, adequate notification would be given to members.
