Tradesmen Due

Labour shortages in some Auckland factories will be relieved next week with the arrival from Britain of a party of 25 skilled tradesmen and their families. The men were recruited recently under a scheme promoted by the manufacturing, engineers and metal trades group of the Auckland Manufacturers’ Association. Air passages to Auckland are being paid by the Government and their prospective employers. The men are fitters and turners, toolmakers, capstan lathe operators and engineering machinists.—(P.A.)
