j About 70 scientists of the [Geophysics Division of the | Department of Scientific and [industrial Research will meet lat Kaikoura from March 22 [to 25 to hear papers on geoi physical exploration, geomagnetism, seismology, geophysical data processing and upper [atmosphere physics. There will be a field excursion to the Hop-ka-Koura fault on [ March 24. The conference will be opened by the D.S.l.R.’s | Director-General, Dr. W. M. [Hamilton, and the chairman of the Kaikoura County Council, Mr V. J. Corbett—(P.A.).
