Girls’ Nautical Camp

About 40 girls from Christchurch and Paramata attended a Girls' Nautical Training Corps camp at Ripa Island during the week-end. The corps is a youth organisation for girls aged 13 to 20 which gives a modified Wren’s training and training in the handling of boats. During the week-end the girls did boat work and were shown how to handle rifles.
