NEGROES AS MAYORS
10 Cities Listed As Possible (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) CHICAGO, March 7. Negroes could be elected mayors of 10 major American cities within the next decade, a Negro magazine predicted today, United Press International reported. “Ebony” magazine listed as cities where Negro candidates could win mayoral races Washington, D.C., Newark, New Jersey, New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Maryland, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland, Ohio.
