SX'.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. With a time of 4min 7.2 sec. R. M. Maddaford, of Auckland, broke the New Zealand junior mile record by one-tenth of a second last evening—one day before he became a senior. Maddaford, who is 19 today, broke the record set by D. Bullock, of Wanganui, earlier this year. Before that he had held the mark at 4min 8s ec.
