Vera Lynn And Her Colleagues
No-one can sing songs of England like Vera Lynn. She is as British as afternoon tea. Her distinctive voice has carried the warmth and sincerity of song, across the seven seas, says a release from Kerridges. Vera has been a top star for years. She has been responsible for launching more hit songs than practically any other British artist. The passing years have carried her from success to success— West End shows, films, radio, television. Royal command performances. Vera Lynn was born in London and began singing at the age of seven. Of her many broadcasts, her war-time series “Sincerely Yours” probably made her known to the widest audience.
