WANTED FOR HOUSING

Reniuera Golf Course (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. March 7. A large part of the Remuera golf course is likely to be lost to housing in the next few years. The owner of a large part of the course, the St John’s College trust board, has called for a sub-division scheme to determine valuations. The board leases 201 acres to the club and another 43 acres is leased from the Auckland City Council. Mr Nevile Walker, the club captain, said that any subdivisional plans did not mean the club was going out of existence. He said the club, with the city council, was planning a new scheme.
