Five Hurt On Roads
Wayne Beecroft, of 31 Mackworth street, suffered head injuries in a collision between two cars near Ruapuna Park, Templeton, last evening. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital about 9.15 p.m. Cecil Churchill, of 22 Rollin street, suffered minor head lacerations when a car ran into the back of a stationary car in Bridle Path road last evening. A cyclist, Heather Joan King, of 36 Whitmore street, suffered minor arm injuries in a collision with a car in Whitmore street, about 5.30 p.m.
Another cyclist, Mr P. J. Bates, suffered bead and leg injuries in a collision with a truck near the corner of Gloucester and Manchester streets shortly before 9 a.m. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. A pedestrian. Miss J. Thomas, of 244 Gloucester street suffered arm and leg injuries when hit by a van near the corner of Colombo and High streets about 7.40 a.m. She was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital.
