WAR-TIME MURDERS

Former S.S. Man Charged (N.Z. P.A. ‘Reuter—Copyright) KEIL, March 6. The Kiel prosecutor has charged a former S.S. major with complicity in the wartime murder of four Royal Air Force officers. One officer was Australian and another from New Zealand. The Schleswig-Holstein State Press Office said the former head of the Kiel Gestapo department, Friedrich SchmidtSchuette, was accused of ordering the execution of the four officers in March, 1944. The R.A.F. officers had escaped from a prisoner-of-war camp near S aga n, now in Poland.
