ALEXANDRA. Ettrick, an unlucky fifth in the corresponding event on the first day of the meeting, may make amends in the M. A. de Bettencor Handicap, the first leg of the Cromwell Jockey Club’s T.A.B. double today.

Bell View, a fast finishing second to Flying Trix on Saturday, and Flying Trix may be the best of the others.

The second leg will be the Con White Memorial, a ninefurlong hack race. Recent form points to Silver Field, a close second to Golden Disc on Saturday, Golden Disc, John’s Mistake (an unlucky third), and Golden Silver, a newcomer to the meeting. ’ The weather has been fine and the track should be firm.
