First Prize To Buckler

(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA. The Lochiel professional, F. X. Buckler, yesterday won the £250 McGill sponsored tournament at the Springfield course, Rotorua, with a 54-hole total of 212. He had rounds of 71, 70 and 71 on the par-71 course. The Samoan and unattached professional, F. Malloy (Auckland) was second with 215. The top amateur was K. Haggle, of Te Awamutu, on 214 —two strokes better than E. J. McDougall, the New Zealand international. Exceeded Target—lndustrial output in the Soviet Union between 1959 and 1965 rose by 84 per cent—4 per cent more than the target laid down in the seven-year plan.
