Boy Claimed By Parents

A three-year-old halfclothed boy found wandering near the corner of Montreal street and Cambridge terrace by two women on Friday evening is Vincent Julian Dean Hoskins, of 255 Montreal street. The boy got out of bed and wandered from his home without being seen by his mother. She did not know he was missing until 9 a.m. on Saturday when she sent members of the family to look for him. Mr Hoskins, a milkman, returned home at 10.30 a.m. and went to the police. The child spent the night wrapped in a blanket in an armchair in the matron's room at the police station. He was taken to the Child Welfare Department’s receiving home shortly after 7 a.m. The boy claimed his name was Dudley.
