Nkrumah Had £2.5m.

Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s personal fortune was not less than £2.5 million sterling—most of it in Ghana, a farmer financial adviser to the deposed President estimated. Dr. Nkrumah also made a will just before he left on his mission to Hanoi six days before the Accra coup, said the adviser, Mr Ayeh Kumi, who is now in protective custody. In his will, Dr. Nkrumah left his entire fortune to his Convention People’s Party, with instructions that it should take care of his wife, children and mother, Mr Kumi said.
