suffered fatal injuries when he was run over by a car in Bridge street while cycling home from school today. He was

Desmond Max Mackey, son of Mr and Mrs J. H. Mackey, of 85 Wellington street, Opotiki.

He was admitted to the Opotiki Hospital but did not regain consciousness.
